Track starts in 35 days and basketball season doesn't end until then or longer if we make state. I'm a freshman and sit varsity bench but rarely play. Yet I still play JV and sometimes freshman and have practice. I don't know if I should be running in the mornings? It's really really hard for me to get up in the mornings. Usually I run whenever I can and a lot of times it's only once a week. What should I be running to prepare? I'm a freshman girl and I ran a 5:23 1600m in 8th grade, top 10 medalist at state in XC, and hoping to break 11:30 in the 3200m. My freshman year is kind of a lay low and just there for the fun and experience. This summer is when I want to really grind it out for XC and I have huge goals for myself. But as I said before, what should I do for track even with an intense bball schedule? Thanks!
