Misery loves company. Post here if you're sick and had to cancel runs this week. Looks like I caught the bad cold that's going around. I tried to do a dozen miles, but gave up after a couple.
mileage this week 25miles. down from 40.

was banging along doing 60 mpw and then two weeks of 35 due to a bad cold. probably shouldn't have done that much, even. back cruising at 60 again. it's part of winter. you'll be back at it like nothing happened.
You should do a race in the next week. You will run your fastest as your legs are rested and your body is still supercompensating to fight the cold you no longer have.
I had a cold three weeks ago. The following week I was hammering some of my best workouts but didnt have a race to run.
Sick as a dog and I still got in 52 miles last week.
Still sick as ever and ran another 9 this afternoon.
If this kills me, so be it.
Honestly, don't know how you do it. 52 miles while sick?! That's some painful miles. Good luck. Not sure that's the best strategy.
I have had bronchitis since Jan 9th, so 16 days so far. I had run about 90 miles 3 weeks in a row, and ran on/off for 3 days into the illness. Once it became clear that it was in my lungs, I haven't run, so that's about 2 weeks off so far. I'm feeling just about clear of it now, so I jogged 5.5 miles today and will hopefully be really back running this week.
