Hey all, HS runner training himself and getting ready for track season, 1600-3200. I have been in a base phase, focusing on improving my endurance as it was pretty bad, and have only done a few speed workouts. I do do 200s and 400s after tempo runs, but the only track work I have done is 12x400 with 45 secs rest at goal 2 mile pace, and then a ladder of 200-300-400-600-800, didnt go back down the ladder. I have indoor meets coming up on the 7th and 14th of February and will be running 3k and 1600. Then it is a month until outdoor starts. Should I start incorporating a weekly speed workout in? If so anyone know any workouts that'd be good for me?
