I dont think Braun is getting as much credit as he should. He ran a great time with a 4:40 last mile. In his post race interview he mentioned that this race was meant to be very controlled and around 18 miles said he could have started to drop some 4:50s but didn't want to risk it. His goal going in was to run a 2:13 or 2:12 but then some of the other Americans said they were going out slower so he changed his plan to just run with company up until half way and then start to increase. Pretty impressive to negative split so much the second half. I think big things are ahead for him. Glad he bounced back well after the LA disaster last year.
