Long time runner looking for some advice on a problematic sciatic nerve or pirformis (spelling?) issue. Had a problem since early fall and thought it was possibly hamstring problem only, I was able to keep training at the level I was running of 70-80 weekly with workouts in prep for marathon. During downtime I had my physical therapist friend hammer the area and after a few weeks slowly got back into running but in time it started to bother me again, its to the point of tightness while running and major pain in the ass when sitting. I decided to take time off again to try and build up abs/hip flexors etc...basically whatever I read online. Is there any advice as to when to come back into training or other exercises that have worked that I am not doing? I also began to see a chiropractor and it has helped my back a bit but has not gotten rid of the problem. Thanks
