Good? Bad?
Was expecting faster. At least 2:03ish.... 2:07 but without a double?
Why did Salazar keep her out of the 1k/mile with the other NOP girls? She not ready yet?

she did double. She ran the 600m as well.
She ran the 600 like 15 minutes before

That's a pretty tough double. At least that would be my idea of not a pleasant task.
800 at goal 1500 pace. Sub 4
But of a coup for the other college freshman 800 star, R. Rogers, finishing ahead of Cain in the 600.
Yeah, she's a little chunky nowadays.

classic letsrun.
She ran 1:30.03 in the 600 right before and then doubled back and won an 800...are you a moron?
Awesome race. Olivia Baker, 52.45 400, 2:02 relay split at Penn, takes it over Raeyven Rodgers (great name) 53/2:03 and Mary Cain. Cain was at her 800 PR pace in the 600 and at her 1500 goal pace in the 800. It's gonna be a great year for 800/1500 women.

She's 18. Leave her alone!
She is a professional runner and is fair game. And lol to the person above who said she was at her 1500 goal pace for the 800. That means nothing.Cains best races are behind her. She will never win anything major against a strong, professional international field.

He/she was referring to Baker - freshman at Stanford. For the record.
Just wondering - when was your last pro race?

Like Rupp.
The NOP way.
All that money and only the imported pre-developed talent Mo can get wins done.
The only WINNER running distance in the US is Simpson.

But are you calling it? Are we seeing it here first? Are you marking your words? Should I be marking your words?
It's easy to say stuff and predict the ridiculous. Fact is you don't know one way or the other.
Mary Cain is learning Chemistry--full time academics for most students. Other international runners devote all their time and energy to running.

What a ridiculously stupid post. The chances are that she WON'T win anything major against a strong, professional international field; hardly anyone does but a handful of athletes per event.
The odds are against her, we all know that. But she's at least trying and giving it her all.
She did similar double last year at the Armory to open he indoor season. Ran a quick 500m race finishing second then won the 800 in 2:07 20 min later.

It's not too bad considering she ran a 1:30 600 less than 30 minutes before; Cain's 600 time suggest she is in about 2:02 shape. Btw, the 2 girls that beat Cain in the 600 are probably capable of making an NCAA 400/800 champ final.

What does this have to do with anything?
