Hi all,
I am a senior in high school ending my winter track season with a 4:41 1600m, a 10:01 3200m and a 16:52 5k. My times are average but I'd like to really chop down on my mile time, but solely through hard distance.
I was thinking:
Monday- Light 4 mile run
Tuesday-3200m and 1600m (Race day)
Wednesday- Light 6 mile run
Thursday-10 mile tempo run (7:00 pace)
Friday-Light 6 mile run
Saturday-5 x mile (5:05-5:10 pace) (I usually break 3/5 of them)
Sunday-12-14 mile run (Medium)
I never really had much knowledge in running. I had so many different coaches that track just felt like a club after a while. But this year I want to take it into my own hands to experiment with what I can really do and how I can do it.
Thoughts?
