That would be too bad azz.

I won 3 races but I quadrupled. Got second in the 880.
I did. It was "track day" at high school.
At an in-house competition a guy at my school won the 1500, 800, and 400 and finished 2nd in both the 200 and 100.
Yup back in the day at the sectional meet senior year.
9:10 2 mile just outrunning 2nd place.
1:56 800m in probably my best kick of high school. 26 seconds for last 200m.
53 second 4x400 meter anchor leg.

Back in 1995 at the SCCAL league championships Amerigo Rossi of Harbor HS in Santa Cruz, CA was going for a four win day. He was a 4:16 miler, and won the 1600 in a sit & kick in 4:26. The 400 & 800 were all out winning in 48 point and 1:57ish. In the 3200 he finished second in just about 10 flat.
In the newspaper article that followed he said he was blacking out in that 3200. That was awesome, all finals within about 3 hours. Crazy.
PA HS AAA District Meet - 110mHH, 300mIH, 4x4
yes, high school state meet. 1500, 800, 3k
3k was a painful experience
Quadrupled - won all four. Dual meet against our rival high school on dirt track. 4:31 1600; 2:01 800; 9: 52 3200; anchored 4x400 in 53. We won the meet, but it fried me. I don't recommend it.
Relays don't count as an individual wins.
As a junior in HS at a quad meet I won the 800, 1600, and 3200.
All the races were tactical, so times weren't impressive. 4:40, 10:15, and 2:07. Only had 20 min between the 800 and 3200.
yeah, quadrupled the sectional meet in high school. Won all 8 races including prelims
In college, my indoor conference meet I won't the 600, came back to take 2nd in a 200, and then was in the winning 4x4.
That's the closets I've gotten to 3 wins in a day.

In HS dual or triangle meets against inferior competition. These were often treated like workouts.4x800 relay. 1600. 800. 3200. The 800 and 3200 were maybe 10min apart as only the 300h seperated them. Fun times.
Alan.
In high school, in 1973, we were only allowed to run 2 events if either were
the 880, 2mile relay or the mile (didn't have the open 2 mile then). In a triangular meet, I won the 880, mile and the long jump. Not sure if that counts as a triple! lol
Not on the same day, but David Kimani (South Alabama) my SR year indoors at the conference championships won the 3000m on the opening day, won a Mile prelim to make the final, came back later that evening to anchor the winning DMR, then the following day won the Mile Final, and finished up by winning the 5000m.
In 1977 while in college I really upset my coach by missing a test while I was at the National Junior College Indoor Atrack Championships. I was all of a sudden ineligible. I contacted my professor and he gave me a test the next morning. I passed and that day we had a big home invitational track meet. I thought I need to make it up to my coach. I ran the 10k, 5k, steeple, and the mile. I was fortunate to win them all. It's a day I'll never forget!
A guy in my state meet did a 4x800-1600-3200-4x400 to win the team title. 1:50 split, 4:15, 9:12, and the 4x4 *immediately* after the 3200 was a :50 split.
Pretty solid I'd say.
