If you're the fastest guy in the race, you should be at the front pushing the pace
Unless you're a professional going for a world record, don't waste meet entries by "rabbiting" your friend and dropping out
Your seed time should be what you've actually run that season, not what you want to run or what you ran 3 years ago
Don't waste meet entries by "doubling". Meets aren't your personal workout session. A 1500/800 double is pointless. After you race your 1500, go run your mediocre 800 sonewhere else alone.
I've been around the sport for awhile, and I just can't wrap my head around this..a beer right after racing..I am no prude either..nothing like a big ol' burger and guinness for dinner after racing that morning..but a beer within an hour of the race? Maybe I am missing something but never once have I desired a beer, now a cup of coffee, sign me up.
I recently went up to a couple guys who placed a few spots ahead of me at a trail race..went up and genuinely said congrats and what a morning, usually I've started up even a minute or 2 convo with many in this fashion..I got big timed and kinda shook off..I mean..neither one of these clowns are sponsored athletes or household names. Kinda sad that's how some carry themselves. That's their issue though. Never be that guy or gal.
