When the officials picked up the flag in today's Dallas vs Detroit game I have to admit I wondered if some kind of fix was in. I don't care about either team but that was just shaky. I quit watching the NBA years ago and it turned there was a ref on the take. What sport do you think is fixed ?
You can't be serious! It was a blown call but nothing more.
Think of what a complicated series of events they'd have to control for Dallas to win this game:
1. Suh, the heart of the Detroit defense, steps on Rodgers leg in the season finale.
2. Suh is suspended.
3. Suh appeals and is reinstated so that he can play in the game that the NFL clearly wants Dallas to win according to your estimation.
4. The NFL lets Detroit run up the score in the first half.
5. The NFL ref throws a flag for pass interference in the 4th quarter
6. The NFL play-by-play crew calls it a clear pass interference.
7. Only then, does the NFL decide to fix the game and pick up the flag.
The commentators offered the correct assessment: This officiating crew has never worked together and was out of sync on this play. It was an error but that happens.
