considering getting a pair, anyone have them?
I tried on the Tempo the other day, and I was shocked that I didn't like it. It felt stiff, and I thought had too much support. I've run a lot in Tempo 4 -- I didn't like the 5 or 6 as much. With the 7, I thought the upper was great, and the shoe felt good to walk in, but in my short demo run, it felt too stiff (for me) under the arch.
The LRS recommended the Boston instead, and that's really the feel I was hoping to get. I just think I'm going to want a little bit of support in the late stages of a marathon. Might check out DS Trainer or DS Racer before I get new kicks.
Stiff, eh ? Anyone else tried them ? I train with the Glide Boost 6 and race 10k/HM with the Adios Boost 2 but thought I could use more cushioning for my upcoming Marathon. The Boston Boost were great other than the fact that they are very narrow in the front and dig into my achilles !
I run my workouts in the Boston Boost and race in the Adios Boost 2. I recently got a pair of the Tempos and they are really comfortable, however they are narrow as well, if you find the Boston narrow you will want to try these before buying. With all three of these shoes I have had to size up by half a size to get enough room up front. I had bought them to possibly use for my upcoming marathon but I am getting on so well with the Adios I will stick to them. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Thanks for sharing and Solereview have posted a comment (pending their review, apparently their pair has defects...) that the collar is identical to the Boston's so it will probably dig into my Achilles as well. The narrow front I could get used to, and the Bostons did stretch a bit, but not to the Achilles issue.
I was going to go with the AB2 for my upcoming marathon too but came out of my recent HM with some pain in the ball of my left foot...I did hit a speed bump at one point during the race though so that might have caused it. Will have to monitor on an upcoming long run. If not the Glide Boost 6 will do the job but they're not as "fast".
The very thorough Solereview review of the TB7 is finally out

and it's not a very pretty site...even without the quality control issues I think I'd still pass as I don't see what they ad to the BB5.
What Adidas need I think in their Boost lineup is a shoe between the BB5 (US12 : 280 grams) and the GB6 (US12 : 354 grams) especially since the GB7 has gained about 20 grams compared to the GB6. The AB2 (US12 : 268) and the BB5/TB7 are really too close.
