Yes, my girls will be gone with their mother at 10am, so the GF and I will definitely be going for a run in the warmer than usual weather; our usual 6 miles. Cheers.
Yes, running my old loop around Spanish Banks, UBC area. I'll put in 7-8 miles.
Christmas Day is the universal day off. It is the only day during the year that I do not run. It is family time.
Merry Christmas to you. I am running a scheduled ten-miler...church afterward.
"I train twice a day every day, except Christmas." - Haile Gebrselassie
Seb Coe once told a story in an joint interview with Steve Ovett how he went on a run on Christmas day, but he was so obsessed with beating his rival Steve Ovett that it was eating at him the rest of the day, so in the afternoon he went out for another run and felt satisfied. Steve Ovett turned to him, smiled and said - \"Yeah, I remember that Christmas. I ran three times that day.\"
16 miles, gets me out of inlaws house.

Gee, someone engrave the dad of the year plaque! Dude spends a *whole friggin day* with the family? You are an example to us all, sir.
Ran on 24th..will run on 26th..so Xmas I will relax, indulge and recover.
I might do that this year, but that would break my 20 year running on Xmas streak. So I'll do a pointless mile and count that as a streak. Or maybe grow up and end the streak.
10 miles easy the morning and fartlek the afternoon which will probably also be around 10 miles with warm up and cool down
Easy 8 miles planned for today.

There, fixed that for you.
Your welcome.
Just got in about 20 minutes ago from a 12km run. It was so profoundly peaceful this morning. Just footsteps and breath. Merry Christmas to all.
Going out shortly for 8. Nothing happens before 10am here. Might as well enjoy the day.

Thanks, but I'm not a dad, dude, or sir. You'll have to give the award to someone else. Have you considered Flagpole?
Yes! Got 5 miles done.
Yes. All because it is Christmas that does not mean a free day to binge and feel sorry for yourself and not run. I got up at 6 for a 10 mile run, spending the whole day with my family, and then after we eat Christmas dinner together, everybody lounges around and I will run 5 miles around 5 or 6
Yes, 13 miles for me. Merry Xmas!
Just got back from 1 hour run with my wife. We opened gifts with the kids and have the in-laws watch them while we were out.
Nice one-one time with my wife. She made a fabulous dinner last night for friends and family so this morning we were able to reflect on our Holiday season. She's making brunch right now, good thing we ran this am because I'm going to be eating the rest of the day.
Merry Christmas all!
