Isn't it time to start using only one alias?
The blood of those officers is firmly on the hands of Mayor DeBlasio, who characterized the NYC police as racist (even though it is probably the most diverse police force in the world) and sided with the looters against the NYC police force, as well as Al Sharpton, who pretty much encouraged Blacks to retaliate with violence becasue of the Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Many other Liberals are also to blame. Shame on you all!

So you want him to use this name and one other?

I think he was suggesting to not use multiple aliases.

In that case, I guess he should look up the word "alias".
I don't know if you are being sarcastic or actually believe we should do this lol
Just wear Wal-Mart or Mobil Exxon t shirts instead
I am absolutely serious about this. Yes I am strongly liberal (based on letsrun standards) but I am a law and order liberal. These people put their lives on the line for us and I think the general hate being expressed toward police officers has made their difficult jobs even more difficult.I would like to see some sports stars showing support, even a group marching in support of police would be appropriate.

Better make these shirts supporting cops bulletproof.

Showing some support for police is an important and serious topic so I was going to respond to your digression.
But considering that you posted under the handle "seriously..." , isn't your post extraordinarily hypocritical?
police officers work for corporate America
"I would like to see some sports stars showing support, even a group marching in support of police would be appropriate. "
Thing is, a team can barely get by letting athletes show support for one side of an issue without team dynamics getting too stirred up. If a team allowed players to show support for both sides of an issue, then team chemistry would really be stressed. If a player truly feels the cops are racially motivated, and another player starts supporting the police, there is a high likelihood of great animosity between the players. With such animosity, out goes team chemistry and success. Team owners are sweating the show of support for Brown and such, if police-support starts, there will be sleepless nights waiting for the first intra-team incident.

Who doesn't?
I don't know where you guys all grew up, but all the dudes that no one wanted around back in high school (the guys that would show up at a party and the entire place would go, "f-ck, he's here?") all those guys grew up to become cops.
I'm not saying policemen deserve to die, but I understand why America is extremely disappointed with them.

Are diametrically opposed positions? Can one show strong support for the police and the work they do and still make an expression against racial injustice where ever it occurs?

America is not disappointed in their police. Most are good cops; some are not. And sometimes good cops get caught up in bad situations. That's reality.
Those dudes you didn't want around are probably good, straight-laced people who care about others. Maybe you called them nerds, or goody-two-shoes. I'm fine with them as cops.
You are right. Its too easy to wrongly hate on cops. But they go into situations that I sure as hell wouldn't want to go into. They love their families as much as we do and they want to return safely yet often they have a risky job to do. They don't want to get some busted jaw or worse because some guy refuses to be arrested.
Their job is harder today then it was a few months ago. People have stereotyped police in general as racist. Obviously some are, and some are just incompetent, just like in any job.
The narrative we have been bombarded with is unfair to them and makes their job more dangerous.
So YES I would like to see some public show or appreciation and support. New York teams now is your time!

Not sure this particular issue can produce that affect. That would be a great shirt to see though. This is pretty bold for the players, who could lose money for their positions. Sponsors could easily just not renew a contract because of this. Not the LBJ (oh, I'm black too, better throw on a shirt types) level of players but the non-superstars who are putting these logos out. For the owners, league and sponsors to allow their products to become billboards for these social issues is huge. Not all issues would get this type of latitude from the league. Imagine a player putting a "I'm for Hillary" message on a warm-up jersey? Wouldn't fly. Maybe someone needs to start wearing the Rodney King quote: Can we all get along?
Just imagine Obama (and I continue to be a huge fan of his) and some sports teams wearing shirts "We are all NYP" or something like that.
They could use it now. They are hurting.
