I was just wondering which of the two track spikes would be best for the 1600 and the 3200 at the hs level. Also, are there any noticeable differences between the two of them.

I have the Victory's and I like em' a lot. Matumbo maybe for 5k or 10k.
The Victory 2 is alot more aggressive compared to the Matumbo, think of the Matumbo basically as a super light racing flat with spikes in it( the Matumbo is actually lighter than the Victory but its such a small difference its negligible) whereas the Victory 2 is like a true spike that tries to get you up on your toes and run. most cite the Victory 2's as an 800-5000m spike with the Matumbo being 3000-10000m.
I personally use the Matumbos for everything (in college now but used them in HS too) because I already ran on my midfoot and the Victories just over accentuated that to making me slow down. and I perfered the Matumbo's feel.
Also note the Matumbos are much more sturdy than the Victories and can be used for CC and are extremely hard to rip as opposed to the Victories that rip easily. Just go into a specialty running store and try both on and see what works for you.
I have both original versions of the spike and both have improved greatly.
The Nike Zoom vicotry has come along way from the 1st. The 1st was way to flexible for me and caused my foot to 'slap'. The It was a very good aggressive spike plate but wore out after a season of track. The second version I got was the nike zoom victory elite. That spike was horrible. It became way to stiff with the carbon fiber shank they created and the entire carbon fiber plate was so stiff. I ran 400-3200 and the plate put me on my toes way to much and felt incredibly awkward. I love the material the Nike Victory 2 had though.
The Nike Mamba is personally my favorite spike nike has ever created. The material is tight around the foot but not so tight it's a pain to get on and off. It is a stiffer foam bottom which is the only thing I would have changed for the spike. The spike is the perfect amount of stiffness to put you on your toes for the final 100 but also flexible enough to feel comfortable for a 3200. the only thing I would change on the mamba is the plate. The plate is fairly aggressive. I which they would add a 6th spike instead of the 5. The bottum is mostly foam but with the mamba 2 they added a plastic 'spikes' that will help a ton.
Go with the nike victories if you are going to run more 1600,3200. Go with the the Mamba if your going to 400-1600.
Personally out of experience I liked mamba's over victories and you aren't just another guy with victories.
