Salary Increase from EIT to PE

I just signed up to take the PE Exam in April. My company increases your salary once you pass the test, but I can't find anything specific about the amount. What is a typical salary increase once you get your PE license (% or $ increase)? I'll be the first EIT in my group to take the test, and my friends from college will also be taking for the first time in April, so I don't have really know who else to ask amongst my peers. I'd like to be informed when I get a receive a new offer, so any input is appreciated. Here is some info about me if it helps:

Civil engineer (traffic focus)

Engineer III

$58,500 current salary

250 people at my firm (private sector)

I received 20K about 15 years ago, so I don't know if that still holds true.

Increased salary comes with increased responsibility, not credentials. I wouldn't be surprised if you get a big bonus though.

Depends on the firm and what they plan to do with you. If they want/need you to stamp drawings and accept that larger responsibility, you should be a rare commodity that they will pay a lot for.

If you are going to not use your stamp at all for them and always just work under the principal or whoever, the raise might not be as much.

Do know, though, that if the current company does not give you a high raise or does not plan to promote you to a higher level and use your stamp, a lot of other companies will.

Obviously you don't have much experience with government-issued credentials!

Your company will transition from you from a lower to a high billing rate. They will generally pass on some of that to you. Of they can bill you at $50 per hour higher to a client, then $20 per hour (billing rate ~= 2.5x hourly rate) would be what should what the employees should get. You won't get that much because that money gets spread around to other engineers with PEs who more experience, and are billed at the same hourly rate you will be billed at.
