I am the boys coach at the high school. The girls coach pays money to these brands and she goes around talking about how she runs for these teams and is a sponsored part of "the flock". 3:30 marathon runner.
It's just incredibly annoying.

Every white female between the ages of 21-45 runs for Oiselle & Nuun. This is not news. It's like saying "This girl is so annoying, she wears Uggs and drinks Starbuck."

Bruce Jenner wears Uggs
A female teacher at my school says she is sponsored by saucony for her marathons oh yeah pr of 4:18
Ugh I hate that. Trying to involve "real women" as your athletes. Great marketing idea, but a different name might be a little more fitting. Calling a 180 pound woman a sponsored athlete on your website mocks the other sponsored athletes.
And she goes on and on about "I never give up in a race because I have to remember I'm running for Kara and Lauren! I can't let them down! what would they think?"
She actually says these things.

I seriously doubt this...

Look up. You'll see sarcasm flying right over your head.

That's actually pretty good for a random gal. Probably beats what you could do.
If all these claims are true, this lady is a strange narcissist.

I ran 14:25 in college and a 1:06 half but nice try. This isn't about me. I'm not saying 3:30 is bad, its very good for a random gal. But the problem is she is a terrible coach and uses the fact that she is a "sponsored professional" to get her girls to buy into her terrible program.
Oiselle is trying to help women but it creates issues.

Ugh. The runners and triathletes that will paste their body with every damn brand they can find and be pumped about it. Sport jelly beans, Gu, Nuun, Oiselle, PowerBar. Mostly athletic fueling companies because they are willing to have their "ambassador" programs which essentially turns you into a walking billboard that you pay for.
At least she isn't saying she is sponsored by Nike. Because really, Nike don't fork over anything unless you are seriously good.
