midfoot strike

I've used the Nike Pegasus 31, it felt great at first but after 200 miles the cushion was done. I also blistered a lot.
Next shoe was the Asics Cumulus 15. Good cushion, but not light and it's losing its cushion as well.
I need something that lasts, and will keep me injury free.
I've gotten Plantar Fascitis and Shin Splints before, those are my injury prone areas.
Suggestions? I've been toying with the thought of Newtons or Hokas.
