So, I'll make this short. We recently got a new treadmill work station. It was placed near some cubicles across from mine. I finally decided to use it today while responding to emails. It only goes 2.5 miles per hour and is pretty quiet in my opinion.
Long story SHORT. While walking on it, I was approached by another office employee to please make it quick because I was disturbing his work. UM...say what? Yeah, he said that. I looked at him in surprise, and said "the walking station was put here by the company and others have been using this for weeks...how am I doing anything wrong". He grumbled a bit, grabbed his computer, and walked out of the room.
Later that day, I saw him again coming from a meeting. As I passed him, I stopped and said "Hey Tom, burned 654 calories sending emails today...I'M BACK BABY". He walked away.
I really did this. Anyone else have a walking station at the office?
