Don't the nutrition advice from a guy who says that eggs are not particularly high in saturated fat and are fairly high in PUFA. Eggs have over 2x more saturated fats than PUFA and even more monounsaturated fats than saturated fat. Note that polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat are not the same thing. Someone claiming to know something about nutrition should no know this.
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/111/2Well, as for the rest of it...If he doesn't even know what is in an egg, why listen to anything else he says? Judge for yourself.
Dude, we already know YOUR favorite protein source, so get on your knees and stick to what you do best (not that there is anything wrong with that....)
I *meant* UFA's, which include PUFA's AND MUFA's, and yes both can have positive impact on cholesterol levels, or neutral in some case. A single egg has 1 gram of SFA's, which IS fairly low. Yes, I incorrectly wrote PUFA's. See, I CAN admit an error when I actually make an error . when it comes nutrition, you do this every post you make, and I believe this is the first time you actually made a real correction to something I wrote.
HOWEVER......the basic point of my post was correct: compared to meat and other sources of meat protein, eggs are fairly low in Sat Fat (correct), they higher in Unsaturated fatty acids (correct), so this combo would result in less negative effect on cholesterol levels than foods higher in sat fat (correct). However, in some people, the high amount of dietary cholesterol in eggs, if eaten in excess, can raise blood cholesterol (correct).
SO.....change the PUFA's to UFA's in my post, and everything else was correct.
Nice try you lose again.
Like I said, stick to what you know. Didn't you say got into "PT school" ?? Why the F' don't you weigt on some injury rehab threads? Do you? If you actually have an advanced degree in that subject, and you did offer advice, I would not be such egotistical douche as you are, and tell YOU what's what concerning that topic, just because I read a few blog posts from personal trainers and a fad diet PT and convinced myself I was an expert. No, I wouldn't do that. but isn't that what you do??? Yup, every time you post. And you claim *I* have the ego problem?! HILARIOUS!! Who told you you knew anything about nutrition? Oh right, you told yourself that, and maybe a little birdie? Or maybe your boyfriend?
Stick to what you know. I still haven't seen what that is, but I am sure it is something.
