Bought a new pair of Adidas Supernova Glides a few weeks ago, probably my 6th or 7th pair. Everything was fine until i went for a run with my shoes laced a little tight. I was already moving when I noticed, and didn't feel like stopping, so i let it be for the run.
Took two days off, and went to go for a run, and had fairly strong pain in my lower outside foot, along the bone protrusion below the base of the fiber. Googling seems to indicate that this is perennial tendonitis. It was sore to the touch, but no pain when just walking
Pain was definitely there and fairly strong, but not enough to change my stride, so i ran through it about 10 miles. Took a few days off, ran again, and it was back within the first 5 strides. Ran another 6 miles, then took a week off. Tried to go running today, and pain was back within 5 strides.
Funny thing is, the pain is not there when i run barefoot. I hit the treadmill after my failed run, and it felt totally fine] - not one bit of pain. This leads me to believe that tying my shoes too tight caused a sore spot on my foot, and that the shoe keeps putting pressure on it and causing pain. Anyone ever experience this?
