Base Training Week 2 of 5
M - 6 (7:23/mi). 6 x short hill sprints
T - 6 (7:11/mi)
W - 4 (7:16/mi). 6 x short hill sprints
Th - 10. 16 x 400m (200m jog :48-1:00) 79, 77, 77, 77, 78, 78, 78, 77, 78, 80, 77, 79, 78, 79, 78, 76
F - am 3 (7:29/mi) / pm 5 (7:31/mi)
Sa - am 4 (7:05/mi). 6 x 100m (:14-:16) / pm 15 minutes rowing machine
Su - 13 (7:13/mi)
Week Total: 51 miles
I am happy with how training went this week, although there isn't really much to report. This 5 week block i am currently doing is just focusing on getting the mileage up without going mental with the speedwork. Thursdays session was just something to get the turnover going, the plan was to keep it around current 10K pace and no faster which i nailed. The garmin link can be found here for anyone interested:

I have been thinking about how fast i should run my miles during this 'base' period. should i keep it at my current pace or try to aim a little quicker? Some days have been pretty slow to be honest...
