1. Allie is fresh, she probably had the easiest XC season of the national caliber athletes.
2. The meet date (Feb 15) is far enough away that she could take a short
break and build back up.
3. Allie would make the team, she is a strength runner, which is an advantage for the Boulder altitude, 6k distance.
4. Allie is good enough to help USA chances at World Cross.
5. Allie won’t be compromising an indoor season, her high school does not have an indoor season.
6. Other athletes now know Allie is good and if she commits to USA Jr cross, perhaps this will temp other athletes as well.
7. The USA running community would like to see Allie run USA XC and compete against some of the FL and NCAA freshmen.
8. Allie probably wants to do it and should follow her heart.
9. Allie would bring tremendous pride to the great state of Alaska by being the first Alaskan female to make a national team.
10. With Allie, Bethan Knights, Alexa Efraimson, Mary Cain, Elise Cranny, Sara Baxter, Tessa Barrett, Ana Rohrer, Rain Frazier, the USA would have the best team ever and a good shot at a WXC team medal. - Wouldn't that be wonderful?
