I'm not always in Russia or Kenya, but when I am I like to run dirty.

@karagoucher @stevemagness Time for you each to speak out about @NikeRunning or quit the passive-aggressive silliness.[quote]Shots Fired wrote:
This is so stupid. Just spill the beans if you know or heard or saw something. This passive crap bugs me. Just drop names and deal with the consequences. If you signed some foolish clause then so be it, but I f folks care about the sport, KNOW things are going on, then make a change and start squealing.
Otherwise it is just a lot of stirring the pot. Let's not forget she was Nike for sometime and was a Salazar gal for some time.
All she said was Nike should rethink their new slogan. It's actually good advice. Whoever came up with that... Or rather approved it, should probably be embarrassed.
She's trying so hard to remain relevant.
It boggles the mind how much people on this forum hate Goucher. I thought it was pretty funny, not some important statement or attempt to "stay relevant". Geez, get the sticks out of your butts.
Unless she actually has beans to spill, Kara has made a big mistake...a big mistake. This was selfish act, she should have thought about her family making this post.
Lance.

Pretty sure it's only 1 or a few individuals repeatedly hating on her (while changing their username). She's definitely not hated and was spot-on with her comment.
Upon reconsideration, you're right it could just be.... A joke. Nike has not had the best last few years. Ill admit WE tend to run with stories and little tweets and turn them into something huge. These are the same boards that genuinely had many believing Centro had a positive last year
I heard from a friend, who heard from a friend who trained with NOP for a while that Kara Goucher has firsthand information about drug use within NOP. What I don't understand is why she doesn't just come forward with this information rather than post on Twitter.
Because the actual PEOPLE she'd harm by naming names. Nike wouldn't even get touched, they're a $19 billion dollar company.

Finally someone who understands.
Then what is anyone supposed to do about this? She has the power to do something, which is more than most of us can say.

Ever heard of Frank Serpico?
There is nothing about Kara G's tweet that is even vaguely actionable in legal terms. It states that there are problems in the sport that might make such a slogan unwise. Anything about Nike is only what you choose to infer.
OK, I'll put this out there.
When you deal in negotiations with nike and the insults come to you regarding your athletes, i.e. racial, ethnic, etc. true colors are shown.
I get it. Business is a contact sport and when you are offered a bribe to lower your price and don't take it, you might get blackballed. When a company can brag that "as long as we have the baggy pants wearing urban crowd in their pocket, they will rule the world" you get the picture.
Kara probably realizes this better than you nutless wonders do. I do, too.
Question any agent that has nike only athletes.
Everyone has made these accusations against Nike for ages. Kara just now making passive-aggressive comments like this is not brave and/or unique. It is a search for more retweets and favorites from her fan girls.
Wonder how Shalane feels about this Nike shot from her former training partner?

Not sure where you got that number from, they are an $85.5 billion company.
