Nike Zoom Victory Elite Sizing

Hello Letsrun,

I purchased a pair of Nike Zoom Victory Elites in size 10 online. Unfortunately, I was not able to try them on before I ordered because the local running store didn't have a very good supply of spikes. When I received them today they were far too large (about 2cm from my toe to the edge of the shoe). For those of you who have run in them, how was the size comparison to other shoes/what size do you recommend I repurchase them in?

For reference, I ran in 9.5 Brooks Mach 16s this past XC season and those fit great. I am also currently training in some 9.5 New Balance 1400v2s.

YOU are the reason that running stores are dying. you go in and try on the shoes at the store, then buy them online. weak.

Relax, the odds that he has a local store that carries a victory elite is next to nothing. Buying spikes online is typical because it is generally not profitable for running stores to carry them, especially the elite. (I work at one)

As for the sizing. I train size 9, and go between 9 and 8.5 for spikes. My elites are 8.5 and they are are snug, but that's the way i like it. If you're going to wear socks, stick with your size. if you have some wiggle room in the 9.5, and plan to go sockless, you can try the 9. The 9.5 is the safe bet here though.

I feel bad for running stores, too. On the other hand...it depends on how much money you'd save online.

I did not word my post optimally, so I suppose any miscommunication is my fault. Despite my poor wording, I still do not think such a rude response is justified. If you must know, throughout my running career, I have only ever purchased shoes online once before. Present circumstances prevented me from doing so for this purchase.

I wear a size 12 Brooks adrenaline GTS. I like it snug and brooks run large I think. Should I get size 11.5 or 12 from ebay? Thanks!
