I highly recommend training so you can aim to run 4 62.5 second 400's in a row.
Best of luck.
I was thinking the same, but maybe if he trains slightly harder.. say to run 4 62.4's around the track, he can really solidify his goal.
Yeah but if he just trained to run 4 62.3's he would be even farther under.
It's awesome you have a goal! That is lofty indeed. I would urge you to keep that in the back of your mind, but focus on stepping stones in the meantime. Running 4:40, then sub 4:30, then sub 4:20, then you can start seriously thinking about 4:10. Not many guys accomplish that feat. If you start killing yourself now to try to run 4:10 as fast as possible, you'll hurt yourself or burn out in the process. Small steady steps to get there my friend, keep that in mind.

Prs? History of mileage?
I hate to break it to you, but you cannot break 4:10 for the mile by running 4 400m laps of 62.5 seconds.

You also can't break with 4 62.4's or 62.3's. The thing is, a mile is longer than 1600m. Red, Blue, and yellow are all primary colors.
Simple: Just train to run an 8:20 two mile, and my guess is you will probably be able to go sub 4:10 for the one mile, though I've been wrong before.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
