id like to start off by saying that I love the site. I come to the message board at least once a day and have for the last 15 years. I also really enjoy your coverage of championship meets. As someone who usually uses his phone to view the site, I'm also quite pleased with your new mobile view upgrade.
But guys, there are still some real head scratchers here.
I know that you have steadfastly refused to require registration like every single other site I frequent (about 10 different websites about sports, money, satire and some stuff related to my industry), but I still can't grasp why. I think your users should 100% be anonymous should they choose, but I can't for the life of me undetstand why their shouldn't be some level of accountability. I mean, even the Gawker family of sites requires a kinja registration, and they're like the internets frat house.
The other thing I don't get is your photo galleries. You guys take the time to take and upload hundreds (thousands?) of pics at meets like yesterday's, yet you use a format that essentially makes it impossible to scroll through them. Nevermind that the buttons are too small to press on a phone or tablet, it's even damn hard on a laptop!
Guys, you have the undisputed no1 running website out there, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't evolve. Heck, the Yankees would make a handful of changes right after winning the World Series, wouldn't they?
So I ask you- why keep with the antiquated ideas and formats? Are you still afraid that if you changed (and required registration) that your thousands of users would run and start using another site and forum?
In conclusion, thanks for all you've done. This website is THE place to find out what's going on in our world and the only place we can go for results of races the world over.
