Well what are your thoughts. Only lose Senior Blake Theroux but add a redshirt senior (blanking on name).

You are thinking of Morgan Pearson, who finished 17th in 2013.
I think they also lose Jake Hurysz. It'll be interesting to see how John Dressel does in a 10k race.
If you substitute Theroux for Pearson, which is totally reasonable, they're just as strong and a year older (though most of those guys can really only gain/lose a few spots assuming they're healthy).
Stanford loses Maks but gains another Rosa which should be only a few point slide. They also lose the guy that was 20th or so but that should be offset by the other Rosa running to form. Plus they're getting two freshman studs who may contribute.
Basically, a year out, if you're comparing them both and assuming they're all healthy, it's CU but not by a landslide.

McGorty is only a sophomore. Why would they lose him?
He is probably referring to Atchoo.
As for the main subject: CU loses Theroux and Huryzs, but plugs back in Morgan Pearson. They also redshirted a freshman or two who ran ~8:50 in high school, and gain a true freshman who might be on the level Saarel was.
In short, they will probably win again, and maybe even the year after that.
