Can't believe I only got 700 miles each out of the two pair of bondi I ran in. Switched to Clifton and will probably only get 1,000 miles out of them. I can remember the good old days when the Ghost or Pegasus used to wear out at 350 miles and I got to buy new shoes more often.

Only hate please, no lies alowed.
I hate that I like them so much.
I hate that they are ugly but they brought new life into these old legs.
I hate that I have a job and not real worried about how soon my shoes wear out.

Hoka's don't last any longer, they just tell you that so by 1000 miles your legs are destroyed
That's a clown shoe, bro.
Skechers Shape Ups called, they want their sole back.

Agreed, Sketchers is gonna sue
Hokas are just another fad; they are counter-minimalist movement. Meh, I don't hate or like them, just like I don't like or hate minimalist shoes. As a matter of fact, running shoes in general are a crutch for lack of strength, balance, and technique. With those three you can run in whatever you like.

I hate that you clearly haven't worn them.
I hate that they may take a few days to get used to, then you'll love them.
I hate that they feel like running on a powdery soft sandy beach / like heaven.
Seriously, try them on at a running specialty store, and run a block or two.
They are well worth the reduction in impact and shock.
Stinson Trails rock.
Enjoy the ride.
My Bondi's are my active recovery run go to trainers.
Hoka's are here to stay. They will serve a majority of people very well for the forseeable future.
Hoka has a hate page? What's on it? I can't find it anywhere on their web page.

How hard is it to f*cking learn that apostrophes are for f*cking possessives, not for pluralization?
while I can say that I dont know anyone that was fast that owned vibrams, I know quite a few good runners that use hokas.
I don't dismiss them.
Hasn't Hoka added Kyle Merber and a couple other runners to their roster? Can't even update their own website? Merber does a fantastic job promoting the shoes on his social networks..

I hate that once in a while I'll wear them and they seem to irritate the top of my foot. Then other days they don't. Very mysterious.
I hate the price

Maybe the price hates you.
They are very tasty. Timely post!
Save your hate for the 800.
Let me see if anyone has an opinion about this. I've had arthritis in my right knee for years and have been shuffling around for all that time hoping to sort it out. What I've found is that more cushioning in shoes makes it worse so my best shuffling is in shoes that are as far from Hokas as you can go, e.g. Asics Blazing Fast, New Balance Road Minimus, etc.
But I do keep seeing these testimonials from broken down old guys who say that Hokas have rejuvenated them. I'm intrigued and would get a pair in a minute if they were $49.95. But they aren't and I don't want to spend $150 on a shoe that's going to sit in my closet after a week. Do any of you Hoka guys know of anyone who had been running in very minimalist things, got some Hokas and done better in them than in their minimal shoes?
If you visit your local specialty running shop, they'll allow you to take the shoes home, run in them a couple of times, and return them if they don't work well for you. This allows you to hedge on your $150 bet. Give it a try.
As for me, I don't like Hokas. They feel much too mushy for me; it feels like they take the energy from my stride and transfer it right into the ground, leaving my legs with nothing to push off with for the next stride. If I needed lots of cushion, I'd run in the Mizuno Creation over the Hokas. That shoe absorbs lots of shock but doesn't completely collapse underfoot.
