Why do so many of the female runners feel compelled to do face paint with their school logo? This isn't high school, ladies.
A fine group of athletes, and the ladies looked especially beautiful.
I'm assuming the OP is a male and also assuming that many people will view any thread about looks as sexist.
In that light, I'll share a story. Men may not be the only one obsessed by looks. When I was taking the photos, I was sitting next to two college aged women. They seemed to be runners that didn't race. When the women were announced, on virtually everyone one they'd make a comment about their looks. "She's so beautiful," or "I love her hair and she's so tie."
I guess one could argue that they were really into appearance because it's a sexist world and that's what men judge them by?? Any thoughts?? Or are both sexes obsessed with women's looks naturally??
How about Miss Lehigh? WHo knew they had someone so fast and beautiful. But just as many women love men in uniforms, i love women in a hat. Makes them look sporty:

The winter cap for miss uconn is pretty sweet as well:

I see the point you're making rojo and I agree. It seems that when men judge on beauty it;s sexist, when women do it, it's ok.
If men judged men on looks it would be gay, women judging women, is ok.
It's a weird AND sexist world.

Different perspectives. Women are thinking "how does she stack up next to me?". Men are thinking "would".
None of them are hot

The difference, which some men don't seem to get, is between a compliment and an objectification. Remember the cat-call video from a few weeks ago people were talking about? Yelling "hey baby, nice ass," etc. is not a compliment. The same things happens on these threads. It doesn't stop at "she's beautiful." It digresses into vulgar comments.
I don't get it. Nobody looks good enough to start a thread about, but nobody looks that ugly either so it doesn't make sense to make this thread ironically.

... Women compete on looks. Can't change evolution.

"She's so beautiful," or "I love her hair and she's so tie." sounds more like admiration than competition.
[ "... she's so tie."
-what does this mean? other than generational stupidity of course

Yes, like the peacocks. I think you need to have a better background in biology as well as just plain being more observant.
The women are generally good looking, but those smiles - wow, those are nice, appropriate, natural smiles. For instance, look at the last two - Distanza and Avery, but look in the background behind them and you see similar great smiles on the Megan Curham and Molly Seidel.

Completely agree. What does this even mean? The next generation depresses me.

My money is on a Rojo typo.
Speaking of needing a shave, what's with the 50-year-old fanboy on the far right of this photo wearing a signed singlet? Is this a groupie thing in Colorado? Someone's dad?

Fair question. Both sexes are obsessed with women's looks. However, that does not necessarily imply that this is natural (nor even begin to ask the question as to what is meant by 'natural').

Really? Yes, women as well as men delight in making sexist remarks. After all, both genders have been indoctrinated by our patriarchal society to view women as mere objects to be prized (and castigated) for their sexual potential.
