I have a pr of 4:09 in the mile, 9:10 in the 2 mile and 1:56 in the 800. Im a junior and want to run for a really good D1 team. In cross country, I only have a 16:20 5k.. Can I still get a scholarship?

Yeah this question made me scratch my head too. Has he never heard of scholarships for 100m-mile runners?
Why does your 800 suck so hard?
You should worry less about the scholarship, and more about evening out those PRs....sheesh!
yes easily. its sooo much easier for colleges to recruit kids based on track rather than cross country. any state can compare track times, they are all the same distance. the times youve ran are elite for seniors let alone juniors. dont be worried at all. as long as you get your name out there you will get scholarship offers. 4:09 and 9:10 double is crazy thats awesome keep it up. family member of mine got a scholarship to UCLA simply off of running 4 straight back to back 4:15 miles and a 1:53 800 PR. Youre strong suites are obviously 2 mile/mile rather than Mile/800. you'll be fine dont stress

When did you run 4:09 in the mile? As a sophomore? No one has run that type of time so far this indoor season. So, to clarify: you are one of the best sophomore milers of all0time but are not sure if you can get a scholarship? I am going to go ahead and call BS on this thread. You suck.
Guess it's 4:19.
