Is 10 miles too far to run at goal half marathon pace. I ran 5:37 average today for 16.2 km on the treadmill, starting at 5:40 pace and working down from 5 miles onwards. Is 10 miles at half marathon pace normal or is it too far in training?

Treadmills are notoriously inaccurate. Do it outside on a measured course or with a GPS.
Secondly, Yes. It is way too far if that is really your ability at the Half. 20sec/mi slower for 10, no problem. 6-8mi (depending on mileage/fitness) at goal pace 3 weeks out as a focused workout with rest before and after, ok.
