Really? If you were worried when she got 17th I don't think you were a true fan or knew much about the team. And maybe it wasn't quite the race she wanted but it is 27 spots higher than she finished last year. Obviously there are a lot of ways to win, but with their make up, they really just needed O'Connor and Schulist to be in the top group(20) cause they had the best 3-4-5-6. It just so happens Schulist ran amazing as did Clark and Otwell and everyone else did what they needed them to do. They didn't even have to run as well as they did to win. If Schulist had stopped before the finish and waited to run in with their 7th they would have still won by 10 points.
Great Job MSU, Great Job Walt. To me this proves my theory that it's not usually the superstar HS girls that go on to do great things in college, every now and then there is an exception but the majority of girls come from the next tier, elite HS but not the very top. Cranny did pretty dang good as a frosh though.
