Are these beneficial speed workouts for 5k and 10k training?
16X200m at mile race pace with equal rest..
8X400m at mile pace with equal rest. (or maybe 5k pace?)
Would it be feasible to one of these workouts a week, alternating them on opposite weeks?
What would be the main stimulus? What should these workouts be supplemented with? Is 3 quality sessions per week a good target, such as 1 speed-focused workout, one long run, and a fartlek or tempo, with easy running in between?
