Eight women claim to have been drugged, raped or abused by Cosby but a Florida audience gives him two standing ovations last night.
What's wrong with people?

Maybe they were honoring him for his " Rapist of the last 50 years" award.

The number is closer to 18, sadly, and there are rumors of 5 or 6 more coming out soon.
It is like the people who gave Ray Rice a standing ovation. Or the people who give Obama a standing ovation during his state-of-the-union speech despite all the lies and frauds he has imposed on this country.
I've read the figure to be 14 not 8.
I'm going to assume many in the audience are older, don't use the internet for their news, and therefore don't know of the seriousness of the allegations. Additionally, because Florida.
All of you are wrong. Its simple....people see Cosby as this upstanding celebrity. They don't want to convict him until there is proof. They are thinking maybe these woman are jumping on the band wagon. They are thinking maybe he banged these ladies back in the day...back in the 80's...back when everyone was partying...and now they are claiming rape....even though it wasn't....not my opinion....buy its what people think.
okay, but jumping on what bandwagon? Things like rape, beatdowns, other traumatizing humiliating sh*t, don't have bandwagons.

You are insane. There's a lot of money in being a victim these sad years. Especially in the usa. Especially for women.

You didn't just say that.
Isn't the median age in Melbourne, Florida about 80?
Really Sally? You are comparing a multiple rapist to Obama? How many conservative and mainstream Republicans are cringing when read one of their own make statements like that.As far as the ovation, there is a bit of social psychology involved. As a group they are supporting their decision to pay to see the rapist perform. The group is telling one another that they did the right thing despite what others might think.

Also, you have to understand that for certain people, attention is infinitely more important than money. Hard to understand for a normal person who doesn't want to be viewed as a victim, but for many, any attention is good attention.
Hell, there are mothers who poison their own child to make the kid look like a cancer patient just to get sympathy from others. There are certainly people with such an insatiable appetite for sympathy and attention that they would lie about being a victim.
Also, you have to understand certain people, even those with a kind public persona, can be rapists.I think the rapists would be likely to lie too.

Sure. I'm not making any claim about what happened in the case under discussion, as I obviously don't know the facts. My post was solely and exclusively a response to the claim that a "bandwagon" for a fabricating a traumatic experience could not generally exist.
How many rape victims have accused Owen Wilson of rape? Or Matt Damon? Or Denzel Washington? NOne - Not one - When there is smoke there is fire - it ie likely that Bill Cosby is a serial rapist - and perhaps worse.
That is true, but in this case the numbers involved make that a very unlikely statistical possibility. Casting doubt on the honesty of the victims in this case seems to be pointing the discussion in the wrong direction. The number of witnesses indicate guilt beyond any reasonable doubt.

This post is so dumb. Is Polly P a troll or just that stupid?

Lol the number of accusers does not affect the statistical probability. You clearly don't know how statistics work. Please tell us that you are just joking and that you and Polly P are just boredom a Saturday.
It happened in Florida--is anyone surprised? Oh and Bill compared his situation to the Civil Rights Movement. What a load of horse sh\it. Bill can go fu\ck himself and die. What scumbag.

Which one of the Cosby accusers is seeking money? From my understanding none are. There are no existing claims or ongoing litigation. These women are reiterating claims from decades ago that went un-heard and un-pursued. The bandwagon you are implying does not exist in this context.
