The deals are good but the worry is the coverage.

I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile over the July 4th weekend....I took it back and went back to AT&T on Tuesday. The savings aren't that great when it's all said and done and definitely not worth the poor coverage.
Same story here. Use cricket if you want to save money.
At times I have. Like when I've gone on road trips ND can't listen to pandora or when I was out in the sticks and on edge (might be a phone issue). But overall it has been a huge improvement. I live in Arlington (a few minutes from dc). So at home and work my coverage is pretty much what it was with at&t. The customer service feels better. The at&t break up was bitter. And they let stream music from most services and don't count it against your data. So I get an extra gig of data for less but really I'm using twice the data I pay for.
Switch to Cricket. They are owned by ATT and have excellent coverage. Tmobile is very spotty and if you leave the city, forget about it.
I switched one of my phones to T mobile last week with the idea of testing it out and if it works out I will switch my other phone over. So far I have had better coverage than Boost mobile that I was using before but figure I will try it for a couple months and see what happens.
