So over the summer I visited a few competitive d2 schools in my state and a few state schools where I could not get a scholarship. I decided that even though I loved the programs at the small schools I wouldn't go there if I wasn't running so I ruled them all off my list and want to find a lower tier d1 school to walk on at.
I've only been a distance runner for a few months. In track my junior year I was a 4/8 (new to the 8 this this) runner and ran 52flat and a 1:58.7 I was doing 400 workouts with an extra ~15mpw for my training. After that season I decided to run XC and built up to 40-45mpw with a pr of 16:59 and qualified for state. This winter/track I'm hoping to go 50-55mpw with goals of 1:54 and 4:20. My coach believes I have a lot of untapped potential as a distance runner and that's these are hard, but realistic goals for me
The three schools I'm looking at are Akron, Cinncy, and Miami
