I know it's comedy, but his points were valid and rang true for me. In all seriousness, if someone can refute any of his points, please do so.

Are you also against chocolate milkshakes?

Yes, I'm lactose-intolerant. And vegan. Your beloved chocolate milkshake comes from the oppression of cows.
It's a real shame too, because cows have massive potential.
Billy sounds like a blast to be around. Ha ha
I actually had never heard of the the Port Arthur massacre.
According to wiki, 35 people were killed and 23 wounded -- one of the deadliest shootings worldwide committed by a single person and remains the deadliest in the English-speaking world.
I'm dying laughing and I think anybody in America should know almost all of these points are valid.

But cows like to be oppressed!
The argument I found most compelling was where he mentioned the price of the black market gun. $1,000 legal in US vs $35,000 black market Aus.
The others had their merits, but were full of logical fallacies (though arguable).
The political left is a fallacy. One dose of reality, such as the 'mass execution' pics that are linked above, immediately discredits any 'argument for gun control'.As sad as those situations are, it's interesting to note that nearly every pic in the search link, proves that the oppressor is from 'government'. Also, the political left was formerly 'against the man', but they sure do love 'law' and the collusion of force to make someone, or group, comply to their philosophy.

Did you watch the link the OP posted? You really should.
Your main arguement is old and frankly based on twisting historical facts. Yes there have been oppressive governments that have perpetrated terrible crimes against their own citizens but the context in which those acts occur bear no resemblance to the situation in the U.S. currently unless you have a very warped, paranoid view of the world.
Furthermore, the US military (the arm of the government that would presumably be responsible for the "mass executions" you need your guns to defend against) is overwhelming made up of individuals that are either conservative or lean right, see here:
http://projects.militarytimes.com/polls/2012/results/politics/Do you really think the sons and daughters of American conservatives are going to turn on their fellow citizens in the ways that have occurred in other countries in the past? The military is not a liberal organization.
Instead of worrying about very unlikely theoretical evil government actions we should deal with actual deaths of children like those at Sandy Hook with some real solutions. Watch the link the OP posted, this is what was done in Australia in the 90s after a mass shooting and 1) there have been no more mass shootings 2) the very socalist government of Australia has not turned on its own citizens because they don't have easy, unfettered access to guns.
No one, by the way, that I am aware of is proposing a complete ban on guns in the US. Just common sense solutions to prevent the frequent mass shootings seen in this country which do not happen in countries with more reasonable firearm laws.
Let's make killed illegal so no one kills anyway!

Right, since people break laws we should just throw our hands up and not have any laws. That's clown logic bro.

Yeah, but I'm a clown. So your point would be...?

Tell me again how background checks would've stopped Sandy Hook.
