With xc season finished we have some new blood for winter track (sophomore boys) and my previosly well-oiled machine of a dynamic warmup is quickly degenerating into a chatty hormonal gabfest. It's about 15 different activations and they can hardly get through one w/o talking about someone's girlfriend, what they are doing this weekend or Galen Rupp. I haven't needed to be a tyrant with them so far this year but I obviously need to stop this madness. I've never had to change practice into 1.5 hours of dynamic stretches but I am considering it for next week to force them to focus. Certainly it doesn't help for Thanksgiving to be so close.
