I mean truly bad grades: like a 3.3-consistantly each semester, but then a 4:13 mile junior year, and a 9:10 2 mile…??
I think pepperdine would but harvey and pomona pretty focused on academics so it might only make a small difference….

Perperdine maybe.
You'll want to bring more to the table in addition to your checkbook. What other campus activities did you get involved with? Did you work at a job that interfered with getting better grades? Do you have a disadvantaged background? etc.
Just so you know OP, if you're a great runner as your times indicate, but you have piss poor grades you're not going to go to a good college.
Examples I can think of right now is Adams State or University of Arkansas.
I got accepted and attended a Big 12 conference school and had a 2.5 HS GPA and ran 4:30 and 9:32 as a senior.
At schools that are not academically prestigious, if a coach wants you and you qualify with NCAA clearinghouse, they'll get you into school.

Dont be this guy with a crap gpa OP, at least you (OP) has a 3.3 gpa to back your times up
Yea I had a crap GPA, never said I didn't, but my point remains that if you can qualify with the clearinghouse and don't care about the academic ranking of a school, you'll have opportunities to run D1

I appreciate that you have high standards, but 3.3 is not truly bad. You'll be fine with those grades and times.
Umm...Why do you want to run for Pepperdine if you have run 4:13 as a junior? They are not DI, their program has a reputation for being an absolute joke on both the men's and women's teams, and you will not get a chance to develop as a runner.
Pomona would not take you if you ran 4:00 if you can not hack their classes and it is likely that you cannot. As for Mudd, well, there might be a harder school, but I am not sure what it would be.
Pepperdine used to be a lot easier; I am not sure what it is like now.
As for the grades, is it a 3.3 because you are getting Cs in Calc and math-Physics and a bunch of true AP classes with 3s on the exams? If so, it looks a lot better.

Pepperdine is D1 but it is a joke program wise. No scholarship money either (athletics)
Instead of asking here, contact the coaches and discuss your situation honestly.

So you can party with the rich preppy kids?
No, Pomona will not accept you. And, no, Harvey Mudd will not accept you. Get some other schools on your list.
