I've got a goal. You've got a goal. We've got goals. My goal is to run a sub 3 hour marathon. It will be my first marathon. You catching on here?
My current PRs are 5:30 mile. Probably a bit faster now. That was 8 months ago.
17:50 5k. I am probably around an 18:20-18:30 right now. Not blistering fast.
Going to put the miles in this winter. I set those PRs off of 40-50 miles per week. I am building up to 80 miles per week, maybe more this winter. You catching on here?
Think it is doable? Anything special to do in my training? I am running 10 times per week right now, one long run and one run where I run at or faster than marathon pace goal (6:52/mi), once a week I do strides (after my easy "recovery" sunday run).
