"Kipsang also said PAAK will educate Kenyan runners about doping."
Looks like kipsang is going to teach young Kenyans how to not get caught.
It makes sense if you look at her marathon times. That when her times started shifting from low 2:2x to 2:18.
It is her "estranged" husband, and he threatened to spill the story unless she paid him off. Not saying that she's clean, but a blackmailer isn't the best source for the truth.
I would not presume that the low 2:20s were legit either.
Dopers get an immediate boost, but they also improve over time.

+1. If nothing else, I think we can now say with a high degree of certainty that her ex-husband is an a**hole.

I'm not sure that follows logically. An estranged husband engaged in extortion and blackmail is a low-life, certainly. But how much leverage could the extortionist/blackmailer expect to have if the basis for his extortion/blackmail is something that isn't true ... and which he and his estranged wife each know isn't true?
Seems to me that, if anything, the fact that this allegation apparently came up, prior to the "positive" result on the A sample, in the context of an evident attempt at extortion/blackmail makes it more likely to be true.
That is, blackmail is far more effective when one threatens to expose some unpleasant truth concerning the victim, as opposed to a baseless lie.
I'm confused though. It seems like the blackmail wasn't effective because we all know about her doping. Or given the lag between the attempt to blackmail and rita getting posted, was the blackmail therefore effective?

You have your fingers on some unpleasant truth about someone. You blackmail the person. They do not pay up. The truth comes out. And they all live unhappily ever after.
I think the more important part of this update is that supposedly Claudio Berardelli *gave* Jeptoo the PEDs (according to Busienei). This obviously implies he was in on it the whole time and if true pretty much means his coaching career (and our faith in the Kenyan coaching system) would be over.
Also, can someone who knows about EPO make a statement as to the accuracy of what he's saying in the video? "tablets and colored water"? Could that describe EPO?
Her coach or agent or whoever the larger white guy was looks like a sketchball scumbag. I wouldn't believe anything he says.

Claudio is Italian, not Kenyan.

Looks like Sub-Q and IV.
Here's an accurate statement - her ex is a criminal moron. What he might have thought of as mizungu magic doping methods could have been anything from an electrolyte drink or legit supplements to out an and out doping. It's all interpreted as white man taking over my my meal ticket by Noah. Criminally stupid and greedy are not qualities to associate with Rita.

It is sad to see, but it would not at all be surprising to me if big pharma channels new drugs through sports channel accomplices to try out on the unwitting but willing 'guinea pig' athletes.

Rita - the cheater - was obviously so impressed by that criminal moron that she married him. That tells me a lot about her.
and Rita isn't? Think of all the money she's stolen. Her husband is a middle distance runner. Thats got to be frustrating knowing your wife is overshadowing you only because she's cheating.dkny64 wrote:
