Bet there are a lot of angry runners trying to upload their races to Garmin Connect, only to see that the server has been down for hours. Does Garmin not use their own products and realize this is going on? Come on Garmin, fix this!

Some people have no patience, you think the world should revolve around you. The server will get fixed and they will be able to upload later.
What a tragedy.
Some people might not be able to upload until later today.
Get over it.

If it's not on garmin, it didn't happen.
No FB share = no results.
That might spare us from the NY marathon was too long and measured 26.8 miles on my Garmin threads.

You don't see that as much anymore because Nike Plus and Garmin let you "correct" the time and mileage. So when you see people posting their runs to Facebook, the times have usually been "corrected," defeating the purpose of the Garmin.
I have a friend who does this every run. He finishes and says, that was definitely more like 7 miles (after running, say, 6.3) and adjust the mileage to 7, which pulls down the pace, and then posts to Facebook.
Upload it to mapmyrun.
You can use it to compare the raw data to the "auto-follow roads" option and note the difference.
Who cares? Can you see your time on the NYRR site?GET A LIFE.

If people stopped trying to upload their NYC Marathon races they'd be able to handle the demand.
