rojo, how does Meb look? I know it's rather early and he should look relaxed, but you never know. I think for him to be leading, is a pretty good sign for him. He doesn't bit off more than he can chew. I think he's solid.

Without trying to, you just described the exact way that NFL games are shown on TV.
Wow. So 5 of the wheelchair men finished within 1 second of the winner?
Wow, what a spine-tingling call on that wheelchair finish. They've got 50 meters left running neck and neck and their talking about the weight of the chair.
Honestly, what the hell is going on?
Kipsang looks like he isn't even trying. He is going to smoke everyone the second half.
Desi is back in the lead pack.
did that race official just cut the finish line in half for the wheelchairs?

Ok ESPN. Thanks for showing the start of wave 2. It's not like any of us actually care to watch the pros...

Meb is showboating. He has a habit of positioning himself for the cameras.
Second wave! There must be some more elites hidden in the second wave because surely ESPN wouldn't waste coverage on that otherwise . . .
Meb has gapped the field. They aren't running fast. But Kipsang is not stupid and won't let Meb take over after a 5:15 mile.
Men’s Mile Splits
Mile 1: 5:51 (unofficial -mile marker has blown over)
Mile 2: 4:49 (10:40)
Mile 3: 4:47 (15:27)
Mile 4: 5:03 (20:30)
Mie 5: 4:57 (25:27)
Mile 6: 4:58 (30:25) - 10k 31:30
Mile 7: 5:15 (35:40)
They are on 2:13 pace at mile 7.
Meb tried to go off on his own but Kipsang wouldn't allow it practically sprinting to join him. They won't ignore him this time.
Yay! They showed the start of the 4-5+ hour finishers!
You can't get upset about that lol.
Who's calling the wheelchair race?

Yeah they do that. I'm guessing at some point there was an embarrassing incident where the winner gets it in the face, and maybe the tape doesn't break quickly enough and tips him back for some quite awkward looking photos of the finish.
Oh, just like he did at Boston?

Yeah, it's how he earns a living. If he doesn't promote himself, who will?
Portuguese chick still leading upfront at the HM mark shadowed by the two Ethiopians. Mary and Edna still riding the tail.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
