That's what it sounded like, but I wasn't sure.
It it just the elites that are considered to be so skinny, that they might blow away, or is no-one starting on the bridge?

not that many spectators as of yet.
Many people who normally would be spectators seem to be staying inside due to the cold weather and wind.
Oh good, I'm not too late for the par-tae!
6:30 first mile unofficial
5:34 second mile.
12:04 at 2 miles
16:56 (4:52) at 3 miles.
17:31 at 5k
22:38 (5:42) at 4 miles
28:14 (5:36) at 5 miles
Women\'s splits through 5 miles. Mile 4 and Mile 5 are more accurate than 1, 2, 3. Moreira of Portugal continues to push it up front.
Winds are too dangerous for wheel-chairs...Everyone else has to cross the bridge.

Kipsang's singlet is sweet!
Eurosport stream with English commentary:
Don't have a cable access password? Live in the US? Want to work on your spanish? You can stream ESPN3: http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index. It's in español but probably beat the english language announcers anyways.
Man, someone wake me when the race is over so I can check the results. There is no point watching when the coverage is this bad. I think they've showed maybe 2 minutes total of actual racing at this point.
lilotv link gets flagged by my antivirus, espn espanol is better
Mile 1: 6:30 first mile unofficial (can’t be righ
Mile 2: 5:34 second mile (12:04 at 2 miles)
Mile 3:4:52 (16:56) 17:31 at 5k
Mile 4: 5:42 (22:38)
Mie 5: 5:36 (28:14)
Mile 6: 5:34 (33:48)
Moreira continues to lead a big group. Apparently the first mile marker blew over due to the wind and that's why they weren't able to get an accurate split.
Thanks Jon, it's going to tough for everybody out there today. It'll be TRUE GRIT of a race for sure.
4:52 third mile? LOL! Crazy nice.
At 10k, they're on 2:27:45 pace. Not awful considering the conditions. 2:28 won this race in 2009 and 2010.
My boy LARS taking it out!

Thanks for this, much lower quality than the ESPN stream but at least they're showing the race =\
It is absolutely pathetic that the pros are barely shown in the coverage.
Mile 1: 6:30 first mile unofficial (can’t be right)
Mile 2: 5:34 second mile (12:04 at 2 miles)

Mile 7: 5:35 (39:23)
They've been pretty consistent over the past three miles. Moreira still leading a group of about 13 runners. Deena Kastor is a few meters behind and looks like she's struggling to hold on.
ESPN is having some technical difficulties -- a lot of choppiness in their broadcast.
Yes, I agree with you...2:27 isn't that awful considering.... .)
Hey! Someone figured out how to use a split screen.
Let's go to Lewis down on the track!
