I've never played rugby. The closest thing I've done to Rugby was "Smearball" or "Smear the Q----" in grade school, where we just threw a football in the air and whoever caught it ran until tackled, and repeat. But today I've been watching this USA/New Zealand match, and I'm really impressed. NZ is the best team in the world, while they said on the broadcast that Rugby is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. Of course, the U.S. vs. NZ is like a mediocre college football team vs. the Super Bowl champions, but the way the NZ team just flows down the field with precision passes, and the way they have such good discipline on defense is a beautiful thing to watch. I'd like to see this sport catch on in the USA. I think we could really excel, even if our best and biggest athletes would still probably be drawn to American football.
