A week ago I had cataract surgery on one of my eyes. Besides having to use THREE different kinds of eyedrops (an anti-inflammatory, an antibiotic, and a steroid--no not an athletics-enhancing steroid, so the Kenyans and Ethiopians have no worries here), I was instructed that I couldn't do ANY exercise other than walking for a week. For you older guys, isn't it always that way?--you just start to get in good enough shape to where running is pleasurable again, and then some business trip or some other event breaks the cycle. Anyway, NOW I can run again. Now I will sleep better again, and the legs and back will loosen up and feel good again.
Any of you other older guys had cataract surgery? Anyone had it years ago? How does it hold up over the long term?
