How cute, she's still learning. First time I've heard her try.

She might be the finest girl I've ever seen in my life.
Sifan Hassan
Yeah. These ladies are good for the sport and for connecting with Western audiences in English speaking Europe and North America. Much better to have someone like Hassan speaking in slightly choppy English about her feelings and race thoughts than Kimetto mumbling "I am happy with race because I win".
Thanks for posting this. They really are cute, and fantastic runners.
good gracious. i'd wife that in a heartbeat.
check it out:
OMG shes sooo cute
This is an amazing photo of the 3 sisters, Oslo 2008, together after Tirunesh had just broken the 5000m world record, Ejigayehu helped with pacing and Genzebe, about 16 years old at the time, finished with an incredible 15:02.

There are so many things wrong with this comparison that I don't even know where to start, so for now I'll just draw attention to this by quoting it.

JAYZUS KRIST!!!!! Move over Tirunesh. Look at little sister.
I think this group can be real stars. They have the talent and have the look. Lots of rivalries. Genzebe, Hassan, Aregawi, Simpson.

I've actually seen a lot of ugly Ethiopian women. Where I live there are plenty of them. But incredible beauty does run in the Ethiopian Dibaba family. Beautiful and extremely talented. They have it all.
Who gives a shyt if they speak English? The laughable part about idiots like Tim Hutchings complaining about Kimetto is that Kimetto won the BERLIN marathon in GERMANY. He is sponsored by ADIDAS, a GERMAN shoe company.Get over it.

What's wrong with it? Seems like a fair post to me. He made fun of Kimetto's English. If you dish it out you better be willing to take it.

English is the international language.
Swahili is not.

Agreed. If they want good interviews they ought to have Swahili/Kalenjin language/Amharic/Oromo interpretters at big races. They would be much more interesting. The world does not speak English and should not be expected to.
