I was in the stadium when Bob won the state title in the mile in 4:05+. What a great talent.
As far as the NY City Marathon prediction: 3:32:18.
he will start off at 3:15 pace , then get pissed off at all the runners in halloween outfits around him, and finish in 2:55. This will still feel easy for him.

I think seeing average runners around would make him not want to run hard just to beat them.
He'll just cruise and them go and call it a fun run.

I don't want to highjack the thread but along with guessing wildly about his current shape his 27;40 10000 PR indicated a possible 2;10 marathon at that time. Had A Bob Kennedy in his prime had been a marathon specialist what do you guess he could have done.
I'll go along with the idea he's publicly saying 3:30 and guessing thinking he might get 3:15. At 3;30 goal debut I get the feeling 3:45 is more the final time for most. Say 3:30 think 3:15 over reach by 15 mins yields a 3:30
I'm in at 3:29:45. and 2:11.00 in his prime had he targeted the longer road distances.
what a sell out promoting the amateur cause
If some of his reported training runs are accurate, if weather cooperates, I'm going with 3:11, with a big negative.
