Where can I buy some reasonably priced running pants that are loose through the leg and then tighten up as they get closer to the ankle? They are like sweatpants, but have zippers at the ankles.
Thanks!

I buy everything on ebay.
Spandex for 4.50 & free shipping, shorts for cheap, etc.
I'm completely stingy so I go wherever I can find the cheapest stuff.
Quick search finds me
Don't look too bad.
If you look in the related there are these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Sport-Gym-Soccer-Basketball-Running-Sweat-Pants-Athletic-Trousers-Apparel/111491191303?rt=nc
these are my most-days-pants during the winter

i've not even looked for others after finding these
augment with windpants and tights for the other days
Have owned several pairs of the Saucony Boston pant through the years. Perfect alternative to compression tights and wind pants.
Alright so are these Saucony Boston pants thin or thick? I kind of want something for like 40-60 degree and something to warmup in before races.
pretty thin
temperature depends on acclimation
in PA here, i might wear them at 40, but no warmer. but i wear shorts for running in the 40s or windpants if windy/wet.
but in FL, yeah, i could see them up to low 50s with the thin blood.
i don't think you'll find anything thinner/lighter other than tights or windpants.
Nike or Addias Soccer pants are exactly what you are describing. I am not 100% sure on the prices but I'm sure Eastbay will have good deals. If you are looking to spend a little more for a good, reliable, true running pant then check out Sport Hill running pants.
These are THE pants to get. It took me months to find exactly what you described, as I wanted fitted pants (NOT tights) that were comfortable through the leg and tighter (like traditional running tights) in the ankle. Note that these are pants, NOT tights. Yet, they are fitted. You can even wear these to the gym - if you're OK with the "I'm clearly a runner" look. http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/track-running-pants/pid-726540/pgid-10206378

...here's the same Nike pair from USATF:

I'll never understand why people like spending $50 more for the same product just because it has a swoosh on it.
I use nothing but Sporthill. They make amazing run pants for cold weather. Not too tight or too loose.
Find a pair on eBay.
I own these three:
Saucony Boston (looser fit of the 3)
Nike Track Pant
Adidas Response Astro pant (slimmest of the 3).
The last one is probably what your looking for. Closest thing to tights without being tights.
