For whatever reason, I'm getting hit with fall season allergic reactions this year (haven't really had this problem before).
I've been experiencing the typical cold-like symptoms:
nasal congestion/mucos, cough, sneezing, itchy/painful eyes, occasional headache.
This has been going on for about 3 weeks now. No fever, chills, body ache that would suggest cold or flu.
When I'm actually running, I feel okay. Symptoms seem to lessen a bit, I can definitely breathe better through my nose when I'm running, for whatever reason.
So, question is: should I just train as I normally would, or would resting a bit more help me get over this quicker?
I don't want to take days off if it's not going to make a difference, but I don't want to do anything that is going to prolong these symptoms either.
I'm supposed to run 10 miles basic aerobic pace tonight. Right now I feel congested and tired and just want to do nothing. I think if I start the run though, I can finish it easily enough. Which is going to be better for me in the long run?
